Line Relaxing

We are located in Hartlepool at Made Salon, this treatment is most often used on forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines.

This treatment works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles. The injected muscle can't contract, they relax which makes wrinkles reduce and soften. This treatment is most often used on forehead lines, crow's feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines.

PLEASE NOTE – You must have a consultation carried out prior to treatment. Prior to having this treatment carried out, you must have a consultation to complete medical details and establish suitability.

A review is carried out after 14 days, to assess the muscle movement and it is your responsibility to ensure this appointment is booked.

What areas can you use line relaxing on ?

Forehead

Frown

Eyes

This treatment can be used in other areas of the face to treat areas such as ‘gummy smiles’, around the mouth, chin to prevent dimpling and the masseter muscles. If you wish to enquire about the lower face, please do this at the time of consultation.

Can I have all 3 areas done at the same time ?

Yes you can however, not every individual is suitable for all 3 areas in the upper face. Individuals who have ‘hooding’ on their eyelids (excess skin) are unlikely to be suitable to have their forehead treat. This is because the forehead is known as an elevator (frontalis muscle) and by relaxing this muscle may lead to brow descent, which in result will cause the eyelids to become much heavier. Likewise on any individual the forehead is not a muscle which can be treat on its own for this reason. Treating the muscle alone will cause a ‘heaviness’ to the eyes and therefore the frown must be treat with the forehead.

How long does it last ?

The effects from this treatment will last 12 weeks. As muscle action slowly returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to reappear and need to be treated again. The lines and wrinkles often appear less severe with time because the muscles are shrinking. However, every individual is different and therefore results can vary. External factors can have an impact on how long this treatment lasts such as lifestyle factors, sun exposure, age and skin.
