Whats is Dermal Filler ?
Filler is made up of hyaluronic acid, a water loving molecule. Youthful skin is continuously moisturised from within by the hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar. Hyaluronic acid absorbs moisture and keeps your skin well hydrated and youthful looking. As we age, our skin loses hyaluronic acid and fine lines start to appear on the surface which eventually leads to wrinkles.
Some wrinkles are also caused by other factors such as muscle movement, sun exposure and diet. Dermal fillers help replace the volume lost or wrinkles which have occurred by assisting in plumping the skin to restore youth.
Got Questions ?
A topical numbing cream is used to help minimize pain and take away discomfort. This is applied prior to your treatment and sufficient time is given for this to work. The dermal fillers contain lidocaine which is a local anesthetic that also assists in numbing the tissue layers that are injected.
You may experience redness, bruising or swelling in the injected area. Healing can take up to 4 weeks, although initially swelling and bruising will begin to subside within days.
Every individual is different and what may give an immediate result on one client, may take several sessions on another. Likewise, what may last 1 year on one client, may only last 3 months on another. This is due to several factors including lifestyle, skin type and metabolism. Expectations, results and your journey will be discussed thoroughly at the point of consultation.
The technician will review your features / lifestyle during your consultation and will use the product most suited to you for optimum results and longevity.
